Mountaineer Pet Care Center has a long grooming history in the Morgantown area. Dorothy has been grooming pets locally since 1983 and opened Mountaineer Pet Care Center in 1986.

Luxury Spa Bath
Mountaineer Pet Care Center offers a full-service Luxury Spa Bath package. Pets are bathed and dried individually by a trained staff member. For safety, pets are never left in tubs or on tables outside the reach of an attendant.
The Luxury Spa Bath package may include:
- Bath in stainless steel ergonomic pet tubs
- Premium specialized pet shampoo
- 15-minute hydro-massage
- Blow dry with high-intensity dryers
- Light brushing
- Ear cleaning

Professional Styling for Dogs & Cats
Professional styling is available by appointment. We recommend calling at least two weeks before the desired grooming appointment time because preferred appointment times fill quickly.
During scheduling and check-in, the grooming team can discuss clipping, style, coat condition, estimated timing, and what is realistic based on the pet’s comfort and tolerance.

Clean Equipment and Safer Handling Practices
Mountaineer Pet Care Center uses stainless steel pet tubs with steps, high side walls, and smooth surfaces. These tubs help pets enter safely, reduce jumping or falling risk, and avoid cracks or chips that can hold or transmit disease.
The HydroSurge Massaging Bath uses a handheld massage sprayer with shampoo and water flow to support a thorough bath and massage.
Pets awaiting treatment or pickup are housed in secure individual stainless steel suites built into temperature-controlled spa rooms.
Appointments, Pickup, and Day Stay Options
Upon arrival, the receptionist provides the pet’s pickup time. Grooming appointments usually take less than three hours, although timing can vary based on the pet, coat condition, requested service, and what the pet can tolerate.
If a pet needs to stay longer and the resort has space available, the pet may be transferred to a suite after the spa treatment. The pet will receive water and playtimes with normal daycare activities, with the appropriate Day Stay fee.
First-time grooming customers must provide vaccination records before booking grooming appointments.
Grooming for Boarding and Daycare Guests
Grooming services are available for boarding and daycare guests. This can be a convenient option for pets already staying at Mountaineer Pet Care Center.

Mountaineer Pet Care Center has a long grooming history in the Morgantown area, including mobile grooming services that began in 1991.
