When you need daytime care for your cat, Mountaineer Pet Care Center offers a safe, comfortable, and quiet environment designed specifically for feline guests.
Cat Daycare can be helpful when you are away for the day, moving, completing home renovations, entertaining visitors, or simply need temporary care for your cat.
Unlike dog daycare, Cat Daycare is a quiet, comfort-focused experience tailored to each cat’s individual personality and preferences. Some cats enjoy exploring and interacting with caregivers, while others prefer relaxing in a cozy hiding spot, lounging in a favorite perch, or observing quietly.
A Comfortable Daytime Care Option for Cats
Cat Daycare is available as a standalone service by appointment. Cats can attend daycare without boarding, and daycare hours are the same as Dog Daycare.
Cats attending daycare are housed individually in multi-room cat condos and may be given access to cattery amenities based on their comfort level, temperament, and availability.
Cats from different households do not directly interact with each other.

What Cat Daycare May Include
Depending on the cat’s comfort level and interest, Cat Daycare may include:
- Individual housing in a multi-room cat condo
- Access to cattery amenities as appropriate
- Secure screened porch access
- Comfortable resting areas
- Quiet places for naps and relaxation
- Staff interaction and attention
- A calm, climate-controlled environment away from household disruptions
Every cat is different. Mountaineer Pet Care Center adjusts activity and interaction based on each cat’s personality and preferences.
Care That Follows Each Cat’s Comfort Level
Cats are allowed to explore, rest, or interact based on their comfort level.
Some cats enjoy play and exploration. Others may prefer lounging, watching, hiding under blankets, or resting in a covered bed. Shy or reserved cats are given space to settle in and participate when they feel comfortable.
Is Cat Daycare Right for Your Cat?
Cat Daycare may be a good fit for cats that:
- Need a safe place during household disruptions
- Adapt reasonably well to new environments
- Enjoy gentle interaction with people
- Benefit from a calm, structured daytime routine
- Need temporary care while owners are away during the day
Cat Daycare may not be appropriate for feral cats or cats that cannot be safely handled.
Mountaineer Pet Care Center may also be unable to accommodate non-neutered cats due to marking or spraying concerns.
Food, Bedding, Litter, and Comfort Items
Food, bedding, and litter are included with Cat Daycare.
Owners may bring food, treats, toys, or a small item with the cat’s familiar scent, such as a shirt or small blanket. Mountaineer Pet Care Center recommends not bringing full bedding because some cats may soil bedding while adjusting to a new environment.
Medication administration may be available during Cat Daycare.
Cat Daycare Hours and Reservations
Cat Daycare is available by appointment.
Current daycare hours are:
- Monday through Friday: 7:00am to 6:00pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 7:00am to 5:00pm
Vaccination requirements are the same as Cat Boarding.
